Handbuilt HO Scale NSWGR Semaphore Signals line
Please Note: As of 1 February 2003, the signal building service will temporarily cease until further notice.  Any inconvenience is regretted.   All current orders held will be honoured.

A range of signal building services is provided, including custom-built and kit-built.   All signals are built in HO scale (1:87.1) and to NSWGR standard practice.   Each signal is handcrafted predominantly from brass, which allows for a rugged, yet highly detailed model.   Signals can be made operational (where possible) or static, and come painted and mounted on a baseplate ready for fixing to the layout.

Due to the virtually infinite combinations of prototype NSW semaphore signals, please provide as much information as possible when ordering your signal(s).   A number of 'standard' type signals can ordered, without the need for photographs.   These generally include single post and bracket types used at crossing loops.   If you require a signal from a particular location, please provide photos, or advise the location and photos may already be on file.   Photos and information provided will be returned with your signal(s).    When submitting an order without a photo, the most important details required are the post type and height and the number, type and arrangement of arms.

If assistance is required on the choice of or placement of signals on your layout, please supply a sketch of your layout showing mainlines, loops, sidings etc.   Suitable reference material on signal types is also available from Greg Edwards' Datasheets S4 & S5.   These show typical post arrangements and the different types of arm and lens arrangements.

If you would like to order signals, download an order form.
